On 25 May, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data comes into force. In this connection, we would like to inform you that the Church processes personal data only for statutory purposes in accordance with applicable regulations, using the autonomy and independence guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
Obligations related to the proper processing of personal data by the Church rest:
1) in the Church - in the Chief Presbyter or in a person designated by him;
2) in individual Congregations - the Pastors of Superiors or persons designated by them;
3) in other organizational units of the Church - on directors, rectors, superiors of these units or persons designated by them.
Supervision over the correctness of personal data protection has been entrusted to an independent body such as the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
